Events

Form relationships and contacts within the networks of the arts. There is energy and excitement found within the arts. The Dayton Ballet enhances Dayton's quality of life as an entertainment venue and acts as a vehicle for economic and cultural vitality of the region.

Associate Board Meetings, first Wednesday each month at the Dayton Racquet Club downtown at 40 N. Main St. (29th floor, Kettering Tower). The Racquet Club provides some nice complimentary appetizers, happy hour prices ($2 domestic, $3 imported beer or house wine, $4/5 mixed well drinks), and free parking in the Kettering Tower garage (don't forget to bring your parking ticket to the club for validation). The meetings generally follow this schedule:

  • Happy Hour from 5:00 p.m. to 5:45 p.m. Grab a drink and some food, meet new people or catch up with friends. Please make an effort to introduce yourself to all guests (the people with the salmon name tags) and make them feel welcome.
  • The general part of the meeting will start at 5:45 p.m. Reports will be limited and this portion of the meeting will end at 5:55 p.m;
  • From 6:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., we will split into committees;
  • During the event committee breakouts, all new members, guests and any members wishing to learn more about the Board and our mission, structure and goals, can meet with me for a short orientation.

Wine & Ballet
Join us for some beer, wine, or soda - whichever you prefer! We will have our monthly happy hour on the third Thursday, 5:30 p.m. at the Wine Gallery downtown at 5 W. Monument Ave. Please note that the Wine Gallery is no longer at the Cannery on 3rd St., but moved to the corner of Main St. and Monument downtown (two blocks north of Unos).

For those driving to the meeting, don't forget that parking is available at a surface lot just west of the Wine Gallery on Monument for $1. The normal price is $4, but you only need to slide $1 into the slot at the entrance. This is a good opportunity to get to know each other better and relax after a tough day of work.

Pre/Post Performance Receptions
We host a reception for our members and their guests focused on each Dayton Ballet performance. Come out with the group, meet friends and some of the Dayton Ballet staff and performers as their schedules allow.

Major Events, such as the Casino Night, Sugarplum Tea and a new Fall Event for next season are coming our way. Please check the Google Calendar for event dates and times.
